PawPair keeps pet-care information on your iPhone or iPad and limits remote processing to optional anonymous analytics and subscription management.
Information stored on your device
Pet profiles, care routines, completion history, health records, medical attachments, veterinarian details and reminder preferences remain inside PawPair's protected iOS sandbox. PawPair does not require a named account for core care and does not upload this care information to a PawPair server.
Notifications, backups and sharing
Care reminders are scheduled locally after you grant permission. Backups, health summaries and attachments leave the app only when you explicitly export, select or share them through an iOS system interface. PawPair does not receive those files.
Premium subscriptions and RevenueCat
If you view, purchase or restore PawPair Premium, RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier, product and offering identifiers, purchase receipts, subscription status, store, platform and limited device or app metadata needed to validate and manage the subscription. Apple processes payment and App Store account information.
PawPair does not send pet profiles, care routines, health records, medical files, contact details or backup contents to RevenueCat. Purchase history is used for app functionality, fraud prevention and subscription analytics. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Optional anonymous product analytics
Product analytics is off by default. If you opt in during onboarding or in Settings, PawPair sends an anonymous Supabase user identifier, an installation identifier, app version, platform and allowlisted interaction events such as screen views, onboarding progress and purchase-flow outcomes to PawPair's protected Supabase project.
Analytics events never include pet names, breeds, care notes, health records, medical attachments, veterinarian details, contact details, backup contents or other free text. Analytics is used only to understand product reliability and improve PawPair. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
You can turn it off in Settings at any time. PawPair confirms removal only after Supabase accepts deletion of the installation record. If the service is temporarily unavailable, the app keeps the local deletion identity and asks you to try again so it can complete cloud deletion.
Other data practices
PawPair contains no advertising SDK or cross-app tracking. Apple may process App Store, device-backup, crash or diagnostic information under Apple's own settings and privacy terms.
Retention and deletion
Raw consented analytics events are retained for up to 45 full UTC days. Aggregated metrics that no longer contain event-level records may be retained longer to understand product performance.
Settings > Delete account and data removes the anonymous PawPair cloud account, PawPair-controlled analytics identifiers and events, the local database, medical attachments, preferences and compatible legacy PawPair storage from that device. PawPair does not clear local care data until the active cloud account deletion succeeds or it verifies that no PawPair cloud account exists. Previously exported files remain wherever you saved them. RevenueCat and Apple may retain purchase records as needed to validate subscriptions, prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Children and veterinary disclaimer
PawPair is intended for adult pet caregivers and is not directed at children under 13. It organizes information and reminders but does not diagnose, treat or provide veterinary advice.
