Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of PawPair on iPhone and iPad.

The service

PawPair is a local-first app for organizing pet routines, reminders, health records, documents and care history.

Not veterinary advice

PawPair does not diagnose, treat, prescribe or replace a licensed veterinarian. Seek emergency veterinary care when an animal is ill, injured or in distress.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing care and medication information, maintaining an independent copy of critical records, keeping notification settings enabled when needed, and protecting exported files and backup passwords.

Local data, anonymous services and backups

The current release stores pet and care data on your device. Optional product analytics uses an anonymous Supabase account and is off until you consent. Deleting the app or using Delete account and data can permanently remove PawPair-controlled information. Apple may retain transaction records, and eligible purchases can be restored through Apple.

Portable backups are encrypted with the password you choose. PawPair cannot recover a lost password. You are responsible for storing backups securely and verifying a restore before relying on a backup as your only copy.

Notifications are a convenience and can be delayed or suppressed by iOS settings, Focus modes or device conditions.

PawPair Premium

PawPair may offer monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system. The purchase screen displays the duration, localized renewal price and any introductory trial that can be verified for the current App Store account. Apple's purchase sheet is authoritative.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID. A trial converts to the displayed paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Apple ID settings, and use Restore purchases in PawPair for an eligible existing purchase.

Premium currently unlocks unlimited companion profiles and caregiver handoff tools. Previously entered health records remain accessible if Premium expires.

Availability

PawPair is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, PawPair is not responsible for veterinary outcomes, missed care, notification failures, device failures or loss caused by using the app as the only source of critical information.
